LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — An officer with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department was arrested on a charge of felony child abuse, according to the department.
LVMPD Officer Brandon Pierce was arrested and booked into the North Las Vegas Community Correctional Center on Thursday, Aug. 15.
He faces one charge of felony child abuse or neglect. Police did not give any additional details.
A booking photo of Pierce was not immediately available.
Pierce has been with the LVMPD since 2023. He was assigned to the Detention Services Division, South Tower Bureau.
He was placed on suspension with pay pending the investigation.
Pierce is set to appear in court on Saturday, Aug. 17.
