LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A multi-agency operation targeting child sex predators in Summerlin led to eight arrests in early December, Metro police announced Friday.
Police arrested David Bryant, 27; Shawn Carter, 39; Dominique Davis, 43; Marvin Farfan, 23; Deangelo Kind, 31; Christopher Miller, 35; and Matthew Webb, 57, on Dec. 5 and 6, the department said.
The men all face charges of luring a minor with a computer to engage in sex. Webb faces an additional charge of attempted use of a minor less than 14 to produce pornography.
An eighth man police named Friday was not listed in the Las Vegas Justice Court system.
The arrests were the result of a joint undercover operation between the Nevada Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, the FBI’s Child Exploitation Task Force, Homeland Security, the Nevada Attorney General’s Office, and the Las Vegas Metropolitan, North Las Vegas, and Henderson police departments.
The LVMPD reminds parents to talk with their children about the dangers of online chats with strangers and encourages them to monitor their children’s activity on social media.
Court records show Kind was being held without bail due to a suspended sentence in an unrelated case. All six other men posted bond and are scheduled to appear in court in January.
Anyone who may have been a victim of any of these subjects or has information about their
crimes is urged to contact the LVMPD Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force by phone at
