LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Court records show a Las Vegas man who police said killed another man in a road rage shooting pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter.
According to Clark County prosecutors, Keyun Watts shot 22-year-old Elvin Sejdinovic back in October 2024 near South Decatur Boulevard and Sobb Avenue, south of Patrick Lane.
Police arrested Watts, 25, about a month after the deadly shooting. He faces between one and 10 years in prison for voluntary manslaughter, according to court documents.
Las Vegas Metro police said Watts admitted to shooting Sejdinovic, but said he didn’t know him, and when Sejdinovic pulled up next to his car, shouting and reaching toward something, he shot him. Police did not find a gun in Sejdinovic’s car.
Watts also told officers he threw the gun in a trash can, removed the stickers from the Camero, and took it to California for a period of time “to get the car out of town.”
“He didn’t go to buy drugs. He didn’t go to do some crime or anything illegal. He was going to work, you know? To provide for himself, for his family,” Alen Sejdinovic, Elvin’s father, told 8 News Now. “That day, October 5th, he didn’t kill only our son. He killed a whole family. Everybody. We have nightmares.”
Watts’s sentencing was scheduled for May 27.
