LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A Las Vegas man is fighting for his life after being struck by a vehicle while crossing in a crosswalk against a signal, police said.
The crash occurred on Saturday just after 10 p.m. at Nellis Boulevard and Desert Inn Road, where a sedan struck an unidentified 39-year-old man from Las Vegas walking on foot. According to police, the man was crossing Nellis Boulevard against the signal and walked into the sedan’s path.
Police said the right front of the sedan struck the man who was thrown onto the street. First responders transported the man to an area hospital with injuries deemed to be life-threatening. Investigators said the sedan’s driver showed no sign of impairment and remained at the crash scene.
The unidentified man was last listed in critical condition.
