LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A 20-year-old motorcyclist from Las Vegas is dead after a crash on North Shore Road near Lake Mead National Recreation Area, Saturday.
Around 6:30 p.m., Nevada State Police (NSP) responded to the crash near Overton, just east of the Las Vegas valley.
Brian Keith Mayhew was riding a Suzuki motorcycle southbound on North Shore Road when he failed to make a right turn, police said. Mayhew veered off the road and into the desert, where the bike went airborne and hit an embankment.
The motorcycle overturned, throwing Mayhew from the bike, NSP said.
Due to his injuries, he died at the scene, police said.
