LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Henderson police and SWAT arrested a man who now faces several charges including kidnapping and child abuse Thursday night.

According to police, on Oct. 10 at around 4:15 p.m., the Henderson Police Department SWAT team went to a residence in the 2000 block of Tremont Avenue, near Seven Hills Drive and Sunridge Heights Parkway.

The SWAT team was there to serve a search warrant, police said. Police did not say what the search warrant was for.

After several minutes of SWAT “announcements,” a man, later identified as Willie Genaro Williams, 36, exited the residence and detectives took him into custody with no injuries or further incidents.

Police booked Williams, who police did not initially name, into the Henderson Detention Center on the following charges:

  • Three counts of kidnapping in the 1st degree
  • Three counts of possession of firearm by a prohibited person
  • Two counts of child abuse or neglect
  • Two counts of coercion
  • Labor trafficking
  • Obstruction

According to court records, Williams was held on a $43,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in court on Saturday, Oct. 12.

Police did not provide any additional information at the time of publication.
