Sitting at the hotel bar in CLT having a nightcap before the flight out tomorrow. Joining me on the trip is my good friend D. Two college classmates in town already who will be there for a night or two and college roomie Squinty may be showing up Tuesday but you never know with him.

Trip is a bday vacation. Been to Vegas for my bday every year after 30 sans 2020. Just a great way to not sweat turning older. 30 was rough. 40 was no big deal. 50 is looming and may be a mental issue but we ain’t there yet!

Staying at Paris with two nights for me at Cosmo. Completely unnecessary but love the hotel and it’s my bday splurge.

Dinners set for Esther’s kitchen, golden steer, Oscar’s, Scarpetta with us filling in the blanks here or there. One show- Ms Behaves Mavericks though D may book more

Gambling? I play limit poker (poorly). Been a convert to VP so that has become the game of choice as of late.

You’ll probably find me posted up at the Rabies Bar at the horseshoe, swilling Crown Royal, talking college sports, and apparently drunkenly posting “I love this town” on VMB.

Goals this year: no trips to the ER, Frankie’s tiki bar, a handpay, and to forget about real life. My bet is 2/4 but we will see.
