LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – A group of students in Henderson are getting the chance of a lifetime to perform on the big stage in New York.
The Sloan Canyon Wind Ensemble from Pinecrest Academy in Henderson will perform at Carnegie Hall on Sunday.
On Wednesday night, the ensemble performed a celebratory send-off concert at the school in Henderson before heading off to New York City.
The group of 48 student musicians, ranging from grades 8 through 12 is the only ensemble from Nevada invited to perform at the exclusive concert.
The students earned the special honor through a competitive audition process that recognized their exceptional performance level.
