In order to stand out in the San Gabriel Valley a Restaurant must either be exceptional or unique, and under the direction of David Shao and Chef Peter Pang Good Alley achieves both while also offering friendly service inside a modern dining room.

Tucked away in a Valley Boulevard strip mall, the open kitchen abutting roughly sixty seats where iPad ordering simplifies staffing, guests are greeted with a smile before perusing a lengthy list of Noodles, Dumplings, Meat and Rice Dishes.

Proudly making everything by hand, their limited number of Guan Tang Bao prone to early weekend sell-outs, it is after a bit of scrolling that in-the-know diners will note an Ingredient-focused approach including Kurobata Pork for a richer Xiao Long Bao.
