LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – The U.S. Marshals are searching for an accused sexual predator believed to be in the Las Vegas area. Kevin Goddard, 39, was indicted for sexual exploitation of a minor out of Clackamas County, Oregon, according to the U.S. Marshals.
“Goddard was found to have a collection of child sexual abuse material, as well as requesting someone to create child sexual abuse material for him, which Goddard also shared with others online,” a wanted poster reads.
According to the U.S. Marshals Office, Goddard is labeled as a sex offender, sexually violent predator, and international flight risk.
Deputy U.S. Marshal Raymond Venegas told the 8 News Now Investigators the victim was Goddard’s significant other’s child.
“He had to have formed a relationship with somebody, and he could still be doing that here in the Las Vegas area,” Venegas said. “The victim was pretty close to the subject.”
Goddard was arrested, released from jail, sold his belongings, and fled to Mexico, according to Venegas. He said Goddard has friends in the Las Vegas area, uses aliases, and has no record of employment.
“There’s been a couple of moments where we felt we just missed him but we believe he is actively evading. He knows what he’s doing,” Venegas told the 8 News Now Investigators. “He might have found a new love interest or a couple of other friends who are into the same thing. It stands out because he could be victimizing some of the children in our community. We just don’t know about it yet.”
