LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The Mint 400 Off-Road Festival is taking over Fremont Street.

The festival runs Thursday from 9 AM to 6 PM. Before the Great American Off-Road Race kicks off over the weekend, sending drivers on a grueling 400-mile race through the desert, fans will have the chance to see all the rigs up close and personal.

The festival, with a focus on racing enthusiasts, offers an opportunity to check out off-road vehicles, take photos with the trucks and UTVs, visit vendors, enjoy live entertainment, and meet the drivers during scheduled meet-and-greets. One of the biggest names hitting the desert this year is WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin, who will be racing in the Mint 400 and serving as this year’s Grand Marshal.

Matt Martelli, chief executive officer of the Mint 400, expressed his excitement about having Austin as part of the race and provided an exclusive look at the type of vehicle the hall of famer will be driving and detailed the history of the Mint 400, showcasing classic off-road machines from past races now on display at the festival.

In addition to all the off-road action, fans can enjoy plenty of food and drinks, including the signature Mint 400 Beer, available exclusively at the festival. The festival is free to the public. More information is available on the Mint 400 website.
