LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – Las Vegas Fire and Rescue crews battled a large one-story home fire in the west valley on Thursday.
The fire happened around 8 p.m. in the 1400 block of Danyelle Court near Buffalo Drive and Oakey Boulevard, according to Las Vegas Metro police.
According to LVFR, it was a second-alarm fire that extended to the attic. Initially, crews made an offensive attack and then had to shift to a defensive approach due to heavy fire conditions in the attic. The fire was knocked down, however, crews continued to battle hot spots shortly after 10 p.m. and were expected to remain on scene for some time.
The cause and estimated damage are under investigation.
