LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A day later, guests who stayed at the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas are still fuming over the hotel’s evacuation following the explosion of a Tesla Cybertruck.

The guests described chaos and disorganization.

“There was absolutely no communication, we were left to fend for ourselves,” Trianna Signorelli, 39, of Southern California said. “Being that it’s a president’s hotel, you would think that an evacuation plan would be set.”

Signorelli and her family stayed on floor 56 of the Trump Hotel for only a night to watch the New Year’s Eve fireworks show. Before they could check out Wednesday morning, a cybertruck exploded in the main entrance.

The hotel’s response to the experience left them angry.

“We had a ton of luggage. Just trying to get down the stairs nobody. No personnel. Nobody from the hotel. Nobody in the stairwell. I mean 56 flights of stairs is a lot, and we just don’t know what’s going on,” Signorelli said.

The elevators were shut down.

Signorelli said they followed the crowd and walked towards Resorts World Las Vegas, but there was no clear point person.

“They could’ve set the fire alarms a couple of floors higher because we were at the top, the 56th floor. They said they only set the alarm about three stories high,” Keylee Signorelli, 19, said.

Las Vegas Metro Police Department Sheriff Kevin McMahill said at a press conference on Wednesday that Trump hotel guests were allowed to go to Resorts World.

Yet, the Signorelli’s and others 8 News Now previously interviewed mentioned they were never presented with that option.

“We got to the bottom lobby and they wouldn’t let us leave any part of the elevator area. So we went back up to our room, and waited for anything. Any news about what was going on, and still nothing, until they finally said you guys can leave or stay,” Adam Bellman of Morgantown, West Virginia said Wednesday.

Trump Hotels did not respond to requests seeking comment on the criticisms from guests over the evacuation.

Trianna Signorelli told 8 News Now she was able to pick up her vehicle from the Trump hotel Thursday afternoon and hotel staff told her she’d get a full refund for the stay.
