LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A freestanding emergency care department opened on Thursday morning in Henderson near the Cadence community.
The ER at Cadence, an extension of Henderson Hospital, opened its doors at 8 a.m. in the Smith’s Marketplace at 865 E. Lake Mead Parkway, according to a news release. It’s open 24 hours a day, every day.
“We are looking forward to providing emergency medical care to residents living in Cadence and nearby communities,” said Sam Kaufman, CEO of Henderson Hospital. “Many of our employees call Henderson home, and with the City of Henderson’s reputation as a wonderful place to live, work and play, we want to support residents and visitors with quick, effective emergency care throughout their community.”
The facility is staffed with emergency medicine physicians and other medical personnel. It has equipment to do CT scans and other medical imaging, along with treatment rooms, exam rooms and a decontamination room.
It’s Henderson Hospital’s second stand-alone emergency care unit. The ER at Green Valley Ranch opened in 2018.
