LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Several streets were blocked Friday night as Metro police investigated a suspicious package near 6th Street and Bridger Avenue in downtown Las Vegas.

Police said after 4 p.m. the packages were empty and roads will reopen soon. An alert from the Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) of Southern Nevada indicated that eastbound lanes of Bridger were blocked after 6th Street at about 3:45 p.m.

Special units were called to the scene as police investigated.

Video from the scene showed police vehicles blocking the road.
