Are there any entertainment/shows downtown (not talking about the Fremont street buskers and panhandlers)? Looking for some options besides gambling all the time. Thanks

in the summertime. There’s weekly concerts and relatively big names from years past and it’s for free. Last year Bush played there in the band called live played. Neon trees and such. But that’s only in the warmer months.

    Work and play solo style

Four Queens has Mike Hammer, Binion’s has Hypnosis Unleashed. Plaza has Sand Dollar that hosts live music.

We’ve seen Mike Hammer at the Four Queens, as well as the Hypnosis show there. We enjoyed both.

I go downtown every Thursday evening and go to Don’t Tell Mama’s (a piano bar with good vocalists). Very chill vibe — opens at 8pm and closes at 2am (Tuesday through Sunday). It does not get busy until 10pm or so, but you can make requests and hear the singers starting at 8pm. It is located inside the Neonopolis next to the Axe throwing place. The Griffin (on Fremont Street) — kind of catty corner from El Cortez has music Fridays and Saturdays (local bands) and Commonwealth (on Fremont Street — directly across from the El Cortez is always busy on a Friday and Saturday night with music and so on. This is in addition to the bands playing right on Fremont and the various shows at the Casinos.
