LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — It was a busy day for the “Wedding Capital of the World” Sunday as many couples made their way down the aisle to say, ” I do,” on 5-25-25.
The owner of Bliss Wedding Chapel, Brandon Reed, was happy to see the influx of couples at his chapel on the palindrome date.
“It’s kind of a perfect trifecta. It’s a weekend, Memorial Day weekend at that and then it’s a palindrome date so it’s a perfect storm of wedding bliss,” Reed shared.
Bliss Wedding Chapel saw just over 30 weddings Sunday and that doesn’t even include walk-ins.
“Given that I’m the husband, we tend to forget a lot so 5-25-25 is easy to remember,” Newlywed, Rayvon Thomas told 8 News Now.
Newlyweds Erika and Ivan Rivera, visiting from California, both work in the casino industry and said it was a no-brainer having their wedding in Las Vegas.
“We’ve been together for five years this month, so we decided the date 5/25/25 for our five-year anniversary makes sense. It worked out,” Erika Rivera shared.
