LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — For job seekers in the Las Vegas valley looking to stand out in interviews and update their resumes, an expert shares valuable tips and strategies.

Career coach Sheri Bardot is helping many clients navigate the evolving world of artificial intelligence. She emphasizes the importance of embracing AI rather than resisting it.

“Ask yourself, what are you doing to learn about AI?” Bardot said. “It’s a buzzword, but any little thing you can do to upskill and show you are constantly evolving and keeping up with the times is crucial.”

Some employers are now using AI-powered software to conduct job interviews—meaning there’s no human interviewer. Instead, the AI analyzes your body language, voice tone, and speech patterns to assess your responses.

“Always dress to impress in person and also for a video interview. These days, recognize that a human may not be on the other end of the screen,” Bardot said.

To prepare for this, Bardot recommends using Interview Warmup by Google. This tool provides the top ten most common job interview questions, allowing you to practice your answers.

It records your responses so you can review your performance and improve before the real interview.

To even reach the interview stage, Bardot emphasizes the importance of optimizing your resume, cover letter, and LinkedIn profile. She said that more than 80% of recruiters are on LinkedIn, making it a crucial platform for job seekers.

When crafting your resume and cover letter, don’t just include keywords from the job description; highlight the key skills essential to the role.

“So it’s like I have this skill, how did you use it, and what was the result of that, that is the trifecta,” Bardot said.
