LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The City of North Las Vegas has been celebrating Black History Month in a tasty way by hosting black-owned food trucks throughout February. This week, Braise and Grill Caribbean Fusion will be featured in the lineup. The truck specializes in Jamaican cuisine with a Southern twist.

“I have Southern roots and my husband is Jamaican, so I think we are the great mesh of both communities,” said co-owner Sharhea Muir. “We have a little bit of oxtail, we have some jerk steak nachos.”

Other menu items include jerk chicken and pork, ribs, BBQ burgers and wings, mac and cheese, and rice and beans. Braise and Grill Caribbean Fusion will be at North Las Vegas City Hall on Thursday, Feb. 29 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The black-owned food truck event is free and open to the public.
