LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Two individuals were arrested two months after a shooting that killed a man while he was driving on the freeway with his wife and their child.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has identified the suspects in the Aug. 8 shooting of 31-year-old Darin Algee, who was killed while driving with his wife on the I-15 between Spring Mountain and Flamingo roads.
Police said the suspects are Damarion Bell, 18, and Jasahn Lovette, 23.
On Friday, both individuals were arrested and booked into the Clark County Detention Center, facing charges of open murder with a deadly weapon, along with several felony warrants, according to LVMPD.
On Aug. 8, Algee was driving with his wife and their child when he was shot by individuals driving in another vehicle, police said. This caused him to crash into the center median of the freeway.
Algee’s wife told a bystander that her husband had been shot. When emergency medical personnel arrived, they took him to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
