LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A man has been arrested days after a fatal stabbing in east Las Vegas, police said.

On May 25, just after midnight, dispatchers from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department received a report of a man who had been stabbed in the 2600 block of South Lamb Boulevard in east Las Vegas.

When officers arrived, they found the victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Police investigators identified a suspect in the stabbing death. That individual, Elvis Ruvalcaba, 46, was arrested Friday. He was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on a charge of open murder with a deadly weapon.
