LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A 63-year-old woman from Golden Valley, Arizona, has been reported missing, and authorities are looking for a white truck in connection with the investigation.
Cynthia Marie McCoy was reported missing on Aug. 22 and she was last seen in the early morning hours of Tuesday, Aug. 20. The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) released a photo of McCoy and the truck on Thursday.
McCoy is described as a white female, about 5 feet tall and 110 pounds with short black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a blue spaghetti-strap tank top and carrying a black purse with a “Route 66” emblem on the side.
Police said McCoy and a friend got a flat tire as they were returning home on Highway 66. “A white truck driven by a male subject approached the women offering to help,” according to information posted on MCSO’s Facebook page. “Cynthia left with the male subject and went back to the business looking for a spare tire. Approximately 30 minutes later, Cynthia returned to the friend’s vehicle, but left shortly after in the truck with the male subject. This was the last time Cynthia was seen.”
The truck is believed to be an early 2000 model Ford F-150 king-cab truck. The camper shell hangs over the tailgate by several inches. The driver-side rear tire is missing the center dust cover of the rim. The truck was last seen at the business between 7:40 and 7:45 a.m. traveling toward Highway 66 from the parking lot. It left the area in an unknown direction.
The man driving the truck is described as an older male with long gray hair and a long gray beard. He was wearing a light blue t-shirt.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Cynthia McCoy or the identity of the male subject is encouraged to contact MCSO’s Detective Division at 928-753-0753 or 1-800-522-4312 and reference DR# 24-031983.
