LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – A flight en route from Las Vegas to Toronto was diverted to Iowa due to an odor of smoke, according to Air Canada.

The aircraft was carrying 176 passengers at the time and landed “normally and as per standard procedure, and was immediately evaluated after landing by airport response teams,” a spokesman for the airline told 8 News Now on Wednesday night.

The plane was then cleared to taxi to the gate. Another plane was called in to take the passengers to Toronto. No injuries were reported.
