Halloween is officially just around the corner and that means it’s time for Vegas to shift into its regularly scheduled Halloween programming. New this year: A takeover by the New Orleans-based Black Lagoon cocktail pop-up.
The macabre experience “with a splash of goth and metal” started roaming in 2021 and is hitting 35 cities this fall with scary decorations and fittingly themed drinks. In Las Vegas, Black Lagoon will transform downtown bar and pizzeria Evel Pie into an eerie Halloween-ready venue from October 4 through. November 1. The bar will serve drinks like the Memento Mori with mezcal, rum, coffee liqueur and cold brew concentrate, bitters, and amontillado.
Esther’s Kitchen Debuts Its New Bar
Even with the added square footage, the new Esther’s Kitchen restaurant is often busy enough to require a wait. Rather than linger at the bar by the dining room, you can loom over those who had the forethought to make reservations by ascending the staircase to the newly opened Treehaus bar. The loft-style bar serves many of the same cocktails found throughout the rest of the restaurant — but, up here, visitors can lounge on sofas, sit at the small horseshoe-shaped bar, and listen to vinyl records. Don’t forget to menacingly swirl your wine glass while looking out the windows at the people eating pasta and pizza below.
