As I type this, I’m supposed to be in LA tonight. Unfortunately, due to stuff outside of my control (read: budget gridlock), it looks like I’ll be stuck in Phoenix tonight unless the plane miraculously goes a lot faster than expected. (More on this later..)

So – an 18hr overnight stopover in LV is on the docket.. and look what you can get on the strip for only $11!! You can’t even get two slices of pizza for $11.

I have MGM Gold status, so I will gladly burn some MGM points to stay here tomorrow. I’ve always wanted to stay here because of the “glamour” factor plus the fact I’ll be treated like royalty when I bet $64 across all the (craps) box numbers.

Assuming I don’t run into any more significant delays, maybe I just skip LA altogether and go straight to Vegas?

FWIW: This will be the first biz trip ever where I do not have (in advance) my hotel booked for ANY night on this trip (including Excalibur) AND I don’t have my return flight booked yet.
