Pho Saigonese, at 6125 Spring Mountain Rd, overcame a car crash delay to shine as a top Vietnamese spot in Chinatown. Open now, it serves authentic pho and classics, drawing crowds

Pho Saigonese is Chinatown’s newest Vietnamese restaurant dedicated to sharing the rich and diverse flavors of Vietnam with the Las Vegas community. The owners are passionate about their homeland’s cuisine, viewing it as a source of comfort and happiness.  Standout dishes include Pho ( southern style, that’s elevated by the anise-like flavor of the added fennel seeds), Banh Khot, and Bun Cha Hanoi. The space is welcoming with a modern and calming atmosphere and attentive, warm service.

Debunking the “Vegas Is Dead” Trend
The viral social media trend claiming that “Vegas is dead” is largely an oversimplification of a more complex economic situation. While some recent reports from the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) have shown a decline in overall visitor numbers and hotel occupancy for the first half of 2025, these statistics don’t paint the full picture. The drop in tourism is influenced by several factors, including a decrease in international visitors and more cautious spending by middle-class tourists due to broader economic concerns and inflation.

However, areas like the vibrant Chinatown district are telling a different story. These neighborhoods are thriving, with local businesses and new restaurants like Pho Saigonese attracting a steady stream of diners. The success of these local-centric businesses demonstrates that while the Strip may be experiencing some challenges, Las Vegas’s cultural and culinary scenes are far from dead. Instead, the city is evolving, with a growing emphasis on local experiences and a shift in where visitors and residents are choosing to spend their time and money.

This week, our @ChinatownVegas X account replied to RTC’s query on August 9, voicing community frustrations:

“Bus stops and pick-up spots should make sense. We need more flexibility for drop-offs and more frequent buses on major routes. They should also hire a traffic expert to fix the insanely timed lights—that’s the bulk of our traffic and congestion. And maybe, after parts of our buses start falling off while traveling up and down Spring Mountain Road’s ferocious, crater-like potholes, someone will be convinced to patch them.”

These issues—confusing bus stops, poorly timed lights, and dangerous potholes—disrupt daily life and deter visitors. RTC has yet to respond, leaving Chinatown residents eager for action. Share your concerns at info@chinatownvegas.com or tag @ChinatownVegas on X!
