The 2025 Best Dam Barbecue Challenge kicks off Friday in Boulder City, offering food, family, and fun at Bicentennial Park during the Memorial Day weekend.

Festivalgoers can expect award-winning barbecue, carnival-style eats, and a variety of competitions, including the Kids-Que Challenge for young grill masters aged 6 to 17.

Travis Barr, President of the Nevada Barbecue Association, highlighted the array of activities and competitions available at the festival. Kurt Brauner, owner of Rack City BBQ, shared his excitement for the competition and showcased his award-winning chicken. Ron Browne, owner of a restored 1973 Pontiac Trans Am, and Chris Sanford, owner of a Back to the Future DeLorean, were featured in the Best Dam Car Show.

The festival also includes live music, a Best Dam Bike Show benefiting Bikers Against Child Abuse (B.A.C.A.), and the inaugural Best Dam Pickleball Tournament.

With food trucks, beverage tents, a rib-eating contest, and over $8,500 in cash prizes on the line, the event promises entertainment for all ages.
