LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A motorcyclist died Friday after crashing into a pickup truck making a turn at a Las Vegas intersection.

The crash occurred Friday evening just before 6 p.m. at Lake Mead Boulevard and James Bilbray Drive in west Las Vegas, where a motorcycle and a pickup truck collided.

Police said the motorcyclist, identified only as a 25-year-old woman, was driving at a high rate of speed and collided with the truck, which was attempting to make a turn. The woman died at the scene.

The driver of the pickup truck, a 35-year-old man, had minor injuries and stayed at the scene. Police said he did not show signs of impairment. Law enforcement officials said the motorcyclist’s death represents the 64th traffic-related death in Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department jurisdiction for 2025.
