The dining landscape in Las Vegas is ever-changing. Only a couple months into the new year, Las Vegas has already bid goodbye to Strip restaurants with celebrity names and neighborhood haunts with 24-hour dining. Some restaurants closed at the end of 2024, while others are in their final weeks of service.

This round-up covers the restaurant closings you may have missed.


Chef Natalie Young’s midday restaurant, Eat, had been the most popular brunch spot in the Fremont East District for more than a decade. It was part of a wave of new businesses supported by Tony Hsieh’s Downtown Project, and its legacy expanded beyond its iconic grilled cheese sandwiches — it helped to revitalize the area and attract a new demographic of foot traffic to the burgeoning neighborhood. Brunch dishes of biscuits and gravy, pancakes with chicken-apple sausage, and sandwiches on thick-cut toast also made the menu. Eat’s last day of operation was Saturday, March 22, but fans can still enjoy Young’s food at her next Echo Taste + Sound.

Ortikia Mediterranean Grill at Green Valley Ranch Resort opened less than a year ago — and the resort shared that it will be closing soon. The restaurant opened in June 2024 with marine-inspired murals, a display of fresh fish, and an open kitchen with an elaborate multi-tiered wood fire grill. The grill fires up cuts of lamb and filets of salmon to pair with Greek seafood stew and mezze platters of hummus and tzatziki. The resort shared news of the closure with Eater on Thursday, April 17 but did not provide a date for the closure.

For 15 years, DW Bistro, had been a reliable brunch destination for southwest Las Vegas’s morning set. Since opening in 2009, chef Dalton Wilson blended flavors from his Jamaican and New Mexican heritage to create dishes of jerk chicken and waffles and red chile pork bowls. The restaurant went out with a bang on Sunday, April 6 with an all-day party in the courtyard.
