LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Coming off their best two months ever, Nevada casinos won $1.22 billion in February, according to figures released Monday by the Nevada Gaming Control Board.

It was a big step backward and the lowest statewide gaming win since August.

The shortest month typically brings lower win totals, but comparisons were amplified a year after Las Vegas hosted Super Bowl LVIII in 2024. A year ago, casinos across Nevada won $1.34 billion and the Las Vegas Strip accounted for more than $800 million of that. This year, the Strip brought in just over $690 million, a decrease of nearly 14%. Statewide, casinos won 9.3% less than a year ago.

Baccarat tables brought in $87.5 million on the Strip, a 51% drop from last year’s levels. Slot machines didn’t do much to offset that number, better than February 2024 by less than half a percent.

December’s all-time mark of $1.46 billion and January’s second-best $1.44 billion had Nevada running 1.5% ahead of the pace set over the previous 12 months. But February erased that.

Clark County’s totals were $202 million lower than last month, with the Strip about $150 million lower. Off-Strip casinos won $144 million, down about $26 million from last month but slightly ahead of February 2024.
