LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A week of magical fun is underway at Discovery Children’s Museum for spring break.
It’s Wizard Week and children are encouraged to dress as witches or wizards. Highlights include a sorcerer’s ceremony and Potions 101 and you can even design your own wand.
Visitors can also write letters in enchanting scripts and seal them with wax, reminiscent of the iconic correspondence from the Harry Potter series.
A fun St. Patrick-themed event is the Shamrock Scavenger Hunt. There are half a dozen shamrocks hidden throughout the exhibits and those who find them can visit the gift shop to claim a prize.
Kids will also be able to check out the Water World exhibit which has reopened after a refresh. It’s an interactive exhibit that educates children on water conservation, showcasing models of Hoover Dam and Lake Mead.
