LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A woman is dead, and another is in critical condition after a crash in North Las Vegas Sunday.
At 12:30 p.m., the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol responded to a crash between two sedans on the Cheyenne Avenue overpass traveling over Interstate 15 in North Las Vegas. One of the drivers, identified only as a woman, died in the crash. The other driver, also identified as a woman, was taken to a nearby hospital where she is listed as in critical condition.
As of Sunday afternoon, Cheyenne Avenue over I-15 was closed in both directions from Losee Road to Civic Center Road, along with the southbound off-ramp from I-15 and the northbound ramp to westbound I-15. NSP officials asked drivers to avoid the area and to find alternate routes.
