LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A woman is dead and a man was injured after a rollover crash in North Las Vegas.
On Monday around 4:30 p.m., police responded to the intersection of Simmons Street and Gilmore Avenue near Alexander Road after a report of a single-vehicle rollover crash.
Police said a Ford Escape was traveling at a high rate of speed before it left the roadway and rolled over. The driver was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said speed is a factor in the crash and impairment will be determined at a later date by the coroner’s office.
The intersection of Simmons Street and Gilmore was closed during the investigation, according to RTC Southern Nevada.
