LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Las Vegas is gearing up for the Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series, a unique race on the Las Vegas Strip. On Saturday and Sunday, 27,000 runners from around the world will hit the Strip for an unforgettable nighttime race experience.
Currently, the Rock ‘n’ Roll Fitness expo is underway Friday and Saturday at Resorts World. The expo is an opportunity for the runners to gear up before the race. It features the latest in running shoes, muscle recovery devices, and more.

Keats McGonigal, the senior vice president of the Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series, recognizes the uniqueness of the running series because it “is one of only three events that shut down the Las Vegas Strip. We give runners an incredible opportunity to race past the city’s iconic lights and landmarks.”
Whether you’re in for the 5K, 10K, or half marathon, there’s a race for everyone, with participants ranging in age from 12 to 90. And the best part? The finisher medals are just as impressive as the course itself.
