LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Court transcripts obtained by the 8 News Now Investigators reveal more about the scene of a deadly police shooting that resulted in the death of a 911 caller.

A Clark County grand jury indicted Alejandra Boudreaux, 31, for four felony charges including home invasion with a deadly weapon, assault with a deadly weapon constituting domestic violence, child abuse, neglect, or endangerment, and fourth-degree arson.

Las Vegas Metro police officer Alexander Bookman shot and killed 43-year-old Brandon Durham after Durham called 911 to report the home invasion on Nov. 11. Durham told a dispatcher that he was inside his home with his 15-year-old daughter and said he was locking himself in the bathroom. Fourteen seconds after breaking down Durham’s front door, Bookman shot and killed Durham as he and Boudreaux struggled over a knife, video indicated.

Bookman discharged his weapon five times, according to grand jury testimony.

Boudreaux wanted to die by ‘suicide by cop,’ according to Clark County Chief Deputy District Attorney John Giordani. At a grand jury reading Friday, Giordani acknowledged Bookman shot the wrong person.

During grand jury proceedings, police said they found a propane tank used to destroy windshields on two vehicles parked outside the home, landscape rocks used to break windows at the home, two kitchen knives on the bathroom floor, and three stove burners that had been turned on.

Detectives also found pills and an unidentified crystal-like substance with hypodermic needles in Durham’s ‘mancave,’ according to Detective Todd Fasulo, Jr.

A pre-toxicology report showed Durham had methamphetamine in his system, Fasulo testified.

Detective Gilberto Valenzuela testified he interviewed Durham’s daughter at the scene before she knew her father did not survive, and then Child Haven arrived and took custody of her.

Police suspect Boudreaux broke into the home after Durham had police remove her from the property the night before.

In an interview with police, Boudreaux said the pair “had a casual sexual relationship.” The charges indicate prosecutors suspect Boudreaux and Durham “has had or was having a dating relationship,” documents said. Boudreaux and Durham met on a dating app in October, police said.

Bookman spoke with both Boudreaux and Durham during the call for service on Nov. 10 — the night before the home invasion and shooting, the 8 News Now Investigators reported. Boudreaux later left the property and took a rideshare to the airport.

In an interview with police, Boudreaux said her ticket was canceled and she returned to Durham’s home. Boudreaux said she broke in, turned on the stove, and grabbed two knives. She told investigators she was attempting to stab herself when she heard the officer fire the shots, documents said.

The indictment means Boudreaux’s criminal case automatically bypasses the justice court process where judges weigh probable cause before a case is transferred to district court.

During a previous court hearing, Boudreaux flashed a photographer. She faces an additional charge of open and gross lewdness.

Boudreaux remains in custody on a $1 million bail.

Boudreaux is also referred to as Robert Boudreaux in court documents.

Bookman has not been charged in connection with the fatal shooting which remains under investigation.
