LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A motorcyclist is dead after a collision in southeast Las Vegas early Friday morning.
The crash occurred on Friday just before 4 a.m., at the intersection of Interstate 11 and Sunset Road in southeast Las Vegas, and involved a vehicle and a motorcycle, Nevada State Police officials said. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. No other details were given on the crash by law enforcement officials.
East and westbound Sunset Road were closed as investigators looked into the crash. The Sunset Road northbound off-ramp to Interstate 11 was closed, and eastbound traffic on Sunset Road was diverted to Interstate 11 southbound off-ramp.
Commuters are advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
