LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — American rapper, singer, and songwriter Lil Baby was arrested on Monday in the south Las Vegas valley, police said.
According to officers with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department on Aug. 26, around 5 a.m. Dominique Armani Jones, 29, also known as Lil Baby, was arrested on suspicion of carrying a concealed weapon in the 3100 block of South Las Vegas Boulevard, near Desert Inn Road.
Lil Baby’s attorney Drew Findling sent a statement explaining that Jones does have a valid permit but not in Nevada.
“To be clear, Dominique Jones has a valid Georgia Carrying a Concealed Weapon (CCW) Permit. On his behalf we are actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding his arrest in Las Vegas,”

In Nevada, Georgia’s CCW is not recognized.
According to court records, Jones is set to appear in court on Tuesday, Aug. 27, at 1:30 p.m. for his initial appearance.
