LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The body of a woman who went missing in Grand Canyon National Park after a flash flood struck was found Sunday morning, according to the National Park Service.
Chenoa Nickerson, 33, of Gilbert, Arizona was found dead by a commercial river trip near river mile 176 in the Colorado River around 11:30 a.m. Sunday.
Nickerson was first reported missing following a flash flood that hit Havasu Canyon on August 22. She was last seen about 100 yards above a confluence of Havasu Creek and the Colorado River.

An investigation into the incident is being conducted by the National Park Service and the Coconino County Medical Examiner. No additional information is available at this time.
