LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — From apartments, new bars, and restaurants to the relocation of the Neon Museum and a new Evel Knievel Museum, several new projects are under development in the Arts District in Downtown Las Vegas.

The eight new projects will join all the new businesses that have opened in the 18b Arts District. Here are some of the projects locals and tourists can look forward to.

Craft Creamery

A newly renovated building located at 1 East Charleston Boulevard near Main Street is ready to house new businesses, with one of the spaces near opening. That space: Craft Creamery.

From the same people behind Servehzah and Mi Barrio, the new craft creamery is where an ice cream shop meets a speakeasy. With an ice cream shop in the front and a speakeasy serving tapas in the back, this spot will satisfy your cravings.

It is unsure at this time what else will be housed in the building but it aims to bring more businesses to the Arts District.

Audio Bar LV

Just up Main Street north of Charleston located at 1021 South Main Street will be Audio Bar, which is expected to open later this year.

The owner calls it a high-energy party bar that by day will be a listening bar where people can socialize and listen to vinyl and at night, the music will be bumping. There will also be party brunch on the weekends.

Mission Linen Building: Evel Knievel Museum, Heavy Metal Pizza, Mothership Coffee Roasters

Next up is the redevelopment of the Mission Linen Building on Coolidge Avenue and 1st Street which will be home to the new Evel Knievel Museum, which is relocating from Topeka, Kansas.

In the building will also be Heavy Metal Pizza and another location for a Las Vegas valley staple — Mothership Coffee Roasters.

This Mothership location will be its flagship retail store along with its primary roasting facility.

Relocation of the Neon Museum

Right next door to the Mission Linen Building is the proposed site for the new location of the Neon Museum.

The museum is planning to relocate to the Arts District and the new site will include a parking garage with almost 900 spaces. The ninth and tenth floors of the garage will be the Neon Museum.

The ninth floor will be about 47,000 square feet of indoor space and the tenth floor will be about 60,000 feet of outdoor space.

This project is in the very beginning stages and the museum is planning to operate at its current location through 2026. The projected opening for the new site is 2027.

Arts District Garage

Another parking garage is also slated to be built on Utah Avenue and Casino Center Boulevard, bringing some more parking options to the Arts District.

Residential Developments

There are also a couple of housing projects under construction that aim to bring more residents to the Arts District.

Southern Land Company is building an apartment complex on 3rd Street and California Avenue that will bring 337 rental residences to the area spanning across three buildings.

The ground floor of each of these buildings is said to have retail and restaurant space, totaling 8,600 square feet.

There is another housing project that has broken ground on Commerce Street and Imperial Avenue. The Flats Arts District will have 311 units and about 5,100 square feet of ground-level retail space.

Arts District Food Park

On Commerce Street and Wyoming Avenue, a food park is coming, looking to give food truck owners a more permanent place for their businesses. There will be space inside and outside for food businesses to set up.

The owner said that no two types of food will be the same, making the space a place where everyone can get something they love. The project is set to open in early 2025.

the Colorado

Last on the list is the redeveloped Colorado building located on Main Street and Colorado Avenue. Three out of the four businesses in the building are already open including Bar Ginza, Swan Dive, and Palate.

Brewhouse on Main will be the fourth tenant to open and will be a food truck turned brick and mortar. It is said to open soon.
