LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A Las Vegas officer and a citizen were hospitalized after a suspected DUI driver crashed into them, according to police.
On Tuesday around 6:25 p.m., police said an officer was in front of a convenience store near Boulder Highway and Desert Inn Road talking to a citizen when a vehicle, traveling westbound on Lamb at a high rate of speed, drove onto the property.
The vehicle crashed into the officer and citizen. Both sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
Police suspect that impairment was involved and the driver was arrested, according to Metro police.
