LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A stolen motorhome led authorities on a pursuit from Arizona into Boulder City on Tuesday night, ending in the arrest of two people who fled — one by jumping out of the moving vehicle and another who tried to get away on a bicycle.

Joshua Bailey, 35, and an unidentified female passenger face several charges after the chase from U.S. 93 in Arizona into Nevada and onto Boulder City streets to the Bootleg Canyon trail head, according to information provided Wednesday by a city spokesperson.

An Arizona Department of Public Safety helicopter assisted in tracking Bailey after he pulled a bicycle from inside the motorhome and rode away. The helicopter tracked him to the 800 block of Shirley Lane, where he was arrested by Boulder City police. Bailey and a police officer were taken to Boulder City Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The officer was treated and released and is recovering from his injuries.

“During the pursuit, a female suspect jumped from the motorhome while it was in motion and was taken into custody,” according to police.

In addition to Boulder City police and the Arizona DPS helicopter, the pursuit involved the National Park Service, which attempted to deploy spike strips to stop the motorhome several times without success.

Bailey was transported from the hospital to the Clark County Detention Center and booked on charges of possession of a stolen vehicle, conspiracy to elude/evade a peace officer, reckless driving x2, driving with a suspended license and failure to stop and give information at the scene of a crash.

Additionally, he was booked on numerous felony charges by the Henderson Police Department for crimes he had previously committed in the City of Henderson; as well as a warrant of arrest from the City of Henderson, and he will await further charges from the Arizona Department of Public Safety for the crimes he is suspected of committing in Arizona.

In all, jail records list 14 charges against Bailey including six domestic battery charges and theft of a catalytic converter.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday morning. The combined bail on all charges adds up to $66,000.

The female passenger was transported to and booked at the Henderson Detention Center for an outstanding felony warrant from the Henderson Police Department.
