Live Music Sizzles at the Sand Dollar This Week!
The legendary Sand Dollar Lounge, a Chinatown treasure and a standout in any city, is ready to keep the party going this week! Here’s a taste of the live music lineup to quench your thirst for some bluesy fun:
Sunday, June 16th: Kick off the week with a one-man jam band extravaganza featuring Dan Fester.
Monday, June 17th: Shake off the Monday blues with The Rumrunners, a blues band guaranteed to get your tap your feet tappin’.
Rest of the Week: Enjoy performances from acts like Monk and the Po Boys, Chris Tofield Band, My Fellow Astronauts, and more!

Curtain Up! Hilarious Musical Makes its Mark at Las Vegas Little Theater
Calling all theater fans and families looking for a fun night out! The Las Vegas Little Theater is raising the curtain on its summer production of Once Upon a Mattress, a delightful musical comedy guaranteed to tickle your funny bone.
This whimsical take on the classic fairytale “The Princess and the Pea” features music by Mary Rodgers, lyrics by Marshall Barer, and a book by Jay Thompson, Dean Fuller, and Marshall Barer.

Tourists can breathe a sigh of relief! Following recent car break-ins that left visitors frustrated, ShangHai Plaza has stepped up its security measures. Although details are still emerging, visitors report a noticeable increase in security presence around the plaza.
Mikey Chen loves Yummy Rice
Over at Yummy Rice, a familiar face is often spotted! Popular YouTuber Mikey Chen, a regular at this spot, is often seen indulging in their famous Hong Style Clay Pots, known for their intense flavor and health benefits. ShangHai Taste Makes a Splash in “Second Chinatown”
ShangHai Taste celebrated its grand opening of ShangHai Taste Southwest in style! The ribbon-cutting ceremony was a resounding success, solidifying their presence in Las Vegas’s “second Chinatown” in the Southwest area.
The iconic ShangHai Taste, renowned for its Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings), received numerous accolades. State officials presented them with 6 Certificates of Recognition and issued a Proclamation from the State Legislature, marking their special day.
Foodie Alert: Mitsou Endo’s Private Omakase Stuns Early Guests
Calling all Vegas foodies! The whispers are true, and This Week in Chinatown can confirm: Mitsou Endo, the culinary genius behind Raku and Casa de Raku, has launched an exclusive private, only 6-seat membership dining experience already generating major buzz!
Early guests are raving about the exquisite $350 per person, 12-course omakase, comparing it to the top tier of Las Vegas’ omakase scene. This is a must-try for serious food enthusiasts, but membership is limited!
