LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Prom season is here. While it is an exciting time and a milestone for high schoolers, the cost to attend has gone up.

The Beehive Women, a local group focusing on empowering women, gave away a whole ensemble for the 5th year at Hollywood Recreation Center.

Founder Bridget Ganigan explained they connect with teachers and counselors around the valley to find kids in need.

“Some of them are Title 1 schools. Some are not. Some are homeschooled, some are athletes that can’t afford dresses or because they can’t afford other things,” she explained.
