LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Two people were hospitalized after a crash in the east Las Vegas valley Saturday night, according to police.

Around 9:40 p.m., police responded to a report of a crash in the area of Boulder Highway and Twain Avenue, according to Metro police.

Police said one vehicle was traveling southbound on Boulder Highway when it hit the second vehicle. One of the occupants was trapped in their vehicle and was extracted by fire crews.

As of Saturday night, one person sustained “significant injuries” and a second person sustained critical injuries, police said.

According to RTC, all northbound and southbound lanes on Boulder Highway at Indios Avenue were closed due to the crash. Drivers were asked to use other routes and to expect delays.
