LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Police are investigating a shooting that occurred late Monday morning, less than a mile east of the Las Vegas Strip.
Las Vegas Metro police responded to the call around 11:40 a.m. in the 2500 block of Sherwood Street near Paradise Road and East Sahara Avenue.
Police said they found one person with a gunshot wound, who was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Another person was taken into custody at the scene.
At this time, police have not released the identities of those involved or any information regarding a possible motive.
Police said this is an ongoing investigation.
