LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — One person is in critical condition after a Thursday afternoon crash near the Las Vegas Strip, according to Las Vegas police.
The crash occurred when two vehicles collided at around 12:15 p.m. in the intersection of Flamingo Road and Koval Lane, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
Medical personnel took an occupant of one of the vehicles to a local hospital in critical condition. Metro did not say whether that person was a driver or a passenger.
Police did not initially say whether speed or impairment was a factor in the crash.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area while the intersection is shut down for the investigation.
